PLANT FINANCIAL ANALYST
Seeking two Plant Financial Analysts in our Accounting and Finance department. One will be stationed at AECI’s Thomas Hill Power Plant and one at the New Madrid Power Plant.
Under the direct supervision of the Controller the primary responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include the review of financial transactions to ensure proper accounting, preparation of various financial reports, budget vs. actual variance analysis and project cost tracking and analysis. The Financial Analyst is also responsible for assisting plant staff in the development of capital, operations, and maintenance budgets and forecasting plant financial performance.
Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years progressively responsible accounting experience. Candidates should have a concrete understanding of financial and cost accounting principles. Candidates must possess strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities; ability to effectively prioritize work schedule and manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and strong technical skills using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail and accuracy in all work results is a must. This position is exempt without overtime.
